Job Description
As an Application Security Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure software solutions. You will proactively identify vulnerabilities, perform security assessments, and guide engineering teams to adopt best practices in secure coding. This role bridges development and security ensuring our applications are resilient, compliant, and aligned with modern cybersecurity standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct code reviews and identify vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications.
- Perform application penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Integrate security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers to implement secure coding practices.
- Develop and maintain security guidelines, policies, and threat models.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents related to application vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated with emerging threats, attack techniques, and mitigation strategies.
- Train engineering teams on secure software development practices.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in application or software security.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common web vulnerabilities.
- Experience with tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, SonarQube, or Veracode.
- Familiarity with secure coding in languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#.
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
